Dear Joseph Palackal,

On behalf of the SEM 2016 Program Committee, I am pleased to inform you that we have accepted your proposal, Reviving the Sound, Sentiments, and Melodies of the Aramaic chants in India, for presentation as a Film/Video at the 61st Annual Meeting of the Society for Ethnomusicology, to be held in Washington, DC, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on November 10-13, 2016. This year’s Program Committee conducted a blind peer review of 449 individual presentation proposals and 106 organized sessions, resulting in a grand total of 905 abstracts altogether. From this strong pool, the committee selected 33% of the individual presentations and 66% of the organized sessions for what we believe will be an exceptionally provocative and enjoyable conference. We are excited that your submission will be a part of this event!
